Who Does Yoga?
YOU!
WHAT IS YOGA?
Yoga is an exercise that fits all people at all experience levels & age. There is yoga for heart disease patients, chair yoga for those with less mobility, aggressive, hot vinyasa (flow) yoga for the energetic warrior, yin (deep connective tissue/fascia) or restorative (choreographed nap without actually sleeping)- these are a few options. If someone does not like one yoga class, try another. They are not all the same and each instructor adds their own style to this ancient practice of connecting the mind, body, and spirit.

MYOGA Journey
My yoga journey began more than twenty-five years ago practicing asanas for exercise without the least bit of knowledge of the integration of mind, body, & spirit. During Shavasana, I wondered why I was wasting time doing nothing when I had a list of “to do’s running through my head. At some point my stress got the better of me and I began to study the practice as it is intended to be, one that leads to introspection, relaxation, & peace. My 200 - and - 500- hour training was through the Lincoln Yoga Center and their sister studios in Omaha. Since then, I have engaged in a number of workshops, seminars, and online classes on a broad array of topics and practices. Yoga becomes a way of life, a priority, and a passion of finding like minded people with whom to associate. It is a life journey. Consider joining me on this journey by practicing with MYOGA.
MYOGA's Mission
To create a community of like-minded yogis who individually and collectively improve their life and community through positive thinking, meditation, and a dedication to a healthy lifestyle of movement, breath & gratitude.
Meditation A great yogi once said,
" If you don't have time to meditate 20 minutes a day, you should do it an hour a day." In my opinion, even five minutes is better than nothing. Research has shown that the amygdala of the brain is positively impacted from meditation even after a month of practice. Consider starting the day with a yoga practice and focusing upon gratitude.
Gratitude is critical for a healthy mind, body and spirit. Life is better with a positive attitude and a smile. There is always something for which we can be grateful.
Movement asanas impact the body's functions. Start moving now!
